Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s main index, EGX30, jumped in August, reaching its highest level since April.
Market capitalisation rose to EGP 770.2 billion over the month, compared to EGP 715.12 billion in July.
The EGX30 index went up by 1,442 points, or 10.7%, to 14,835 in August, while the EGX100 index rose by 8% to 1,455 points. The EGX70 index grew by 6.3% to 553 points.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) increased by 11.13% to EGP 80.4 during the eighth month of the year.
